Busy as usual

Things are crazy busy as usual around here. The in-laws are here until tomorrow or Saturday depending upon the weather. Then my mom will be here this weekend. Yippy. This week I've had to finish up the newsletter for the quilt store in Denver, get my taxes done, pick up our girl scout troops cookies and get them to all the girls.... you know, a typical week for me! Oh, and Misty's baby shower is Saturday and I have to make a cake for her. Phew! Things are crazy! Let's not forget Gymboree, Tae Kwon Do, or my trip to Costco. I really don't know how working moms still get all the other things done! I am always busy.

Hannah and Simon are off with Stella and Greg to see a movie this afternoon. Fine by me! Take 'em! Seth just fell asleep for a nice afternoon nap and I am going to catch up on some of my favorite blogs. I'd rather quilt but the sewing room is still a temporary bedroom.

Yea, Girl Scout Cookies!!!! Working moms don't do Girl Scouts, Gymboree, or any extras. They trudge back and forth to work, go home to work some more making dinner and doing laundry and maybe wedge in something else in the evening. It's a real gift that you are able to stay home with your kids - I know you enjoy it.

Yeah, we either don't do those things, or we don't sleep. I have always been a fan of the don't sleep style of working mom.

I actually haven't met a mom with small children, working or not, who doesn't deserve an award for multi-tasking extraordinaire.

It simply never stops.

Thanks for making my cake, if you run out of time, store bought will be more than fine!

That is the most adorable picture. I can't get over how big he is. If only he knew he was standing directly in the middle of a little piece of heaven.
I have to agree about the no sleep thing. That is my preferred style of student mom.
