Hello blog land

Well, this is my first attempt at blogging. If my mom can do it, I can do it!

I am an avid quilter. There is something so calming about working on a project. When it is all done I am always amazed. Sometimes it doesn't look like what I envisioned but that is the beauty of it. I made it. The only problem is getting time to quilt. I have 3 kids to keep me busy on a daily basis. My youngest is 6 months old. He still nurses all the time and only takes cat naps. A 30 minute nap doesn't allow much time to work on a quilt! The older 2 start 3rd grade and Kindergarten in two weeks! Hurray, the count down is on!!

The other factor that has kept me from my quilting is our recent move to NJ. I know, NJ? Really? Yes indeed. We moved here for my husbands new job. The hardest part was he had to come out to NJ when the baby was only 2 weeks old. It was rough on all of us. We are all back together now and it is wonderful.

As I work on quilts and have ups and downs in life I'll try to post about them from time to time.

Hey Ellen, Great idea on the blog - since I seem to be sleeping, studying, working (or allergic to the phone). Glad to hear you passed the drivers test, you know with your history.... :)

Love you all VERY much, miss you!!

Our life - Mallory is doing well, I think she passed the first half of ninth grade, I am getting rave reviews at work and keeping up with graduate school and Amber performed in the nutcracker and was SO cute. Amber has discovered a love of science and will be in the science fair, lighting a lightbulb using lemons. Ron is wonderful as usual (OK no snide comments - I LIKE HIM).

Hey, I only failed the test once in Seattle!

Glad to hear things are going so well. I hope Amber does well at the science fair! I still can't believe how old Mallory is. Time flies. You know I love Ron.
